After an impressive career, Chris "Lights Out" Lytle announced his retirement at the end of 2011. Known best for knock out abilities, Lytle was highlighted as a welterweight on a popular reality television show. Lytle has been enjoying his retirement from MMA, working as an Indianapolis firefighter and spending time with his four children.

Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, originally from Commerce City, Colorado, is one of the favorite characters in today's mixed martial arts scene. Cerrone's rambunctious character as a true cowboy is authentic. It's not uncommon to see video of Cerrone bull riding or wakeboarding just days prior to a headline fight.

Known to be tough as nails in the cage, Cerrone trains in a 10-acre ranch built with a full training center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Jake Shields began training as a wrestler at just nine years old. As a decorated wrestler for much of his youth, Shields began training mixed martial arts in 1999 with one of the most elite camps in the United States. A short time later, Shields made the decision to become a professional MMA fighter and has gained notability with several championship fights.

As a lifelong vegetarian, Shields' interest reach beyond life as an MMA fighter. Shields has opened his own gym and is currently starring in and producing a documentary on the sport of MMA.

Benson "Smooth" Henderson

The newest Lightweight Champion, Benson "Smooth" Henderson is known for his fluid moves and smooth fight style. While earning a double major at Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, Henderson was named twice as an NAIA All-American in wrestling. In his professional career, Henderson is respected for his aggressive style and escapes from submission attempts.

Henderson is currently a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt under John Crouch, who is a black belt under Royce Gracie.

As the new interim welterweight champion, Carlos "The Natural Born Killer" Condit, trains in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At the age of nine, Condit began wrestling and continued through high school. Condit's MMA training started with famed trainer, Greg Jackson, when he was just 15.

Known as a good solid all around fighter, Condit is best known for his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and submission skills.

Tate's dedication to conditioning is second to none as she trains with some of the most elite athletes in MMA.

Vinicius "Pezao" Magalhães is a black belt under the legendary Royler Gracie and is one of the top grapplers in the world of MMA. The Rio de Janeiro native has made headlines in grappling after many wins against some of today's world renowned fighters. Magalhães' world-class grappling credentials earned him notoriety as he trains, mentors and coaches other athletes.

Known for his precise technical abilities, Mark "The Machine" Hominick is a former Featherweight division contender and TKO® Featherweight champion. He trained alongside Sam Stout with the late MMA striking coach Shawn Tompkins in London, Ontario.

The proud Canadian has now retried after nearly a decade in the cage facing some of the top fighters in the sport.

One of MMA’s most popular fighters, Guida started his training as a collegiate wrestler, winning the National Junior Collegiate Championship in 2001.

Now he trains in grappling, sparring as well as strength and conditioning in an attempt to attain the lightweight title.

Nate Diaz made his professional debut at the age of 19, following in the footsteps of his older brother Nick. After growing up helping his older brother spar and train, before he knew it he was fighting on his own.

Diaz holds a Black Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and won top MMA reality show in 2007 as a Lightweight. He is currently ranked as one of the top five lightweight fighters in the world.

Chad "Money" Mendes began wrestling at the age of five, his wrestling career taking him beyond his D1 NCAA All-American titles to a position in the MMA world. As part of Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, California, Mendes is a true contender to the Featherweight title.

Mendes is known for his explosive attacks and physically punishing his opponents.

Known for his quick wit and sharp tongue, Chael Sonnen started his MMA career in 1997. After two showings against Anderson Silva, Sonnen was chosen to become a coach on the seventeenth season of top MMA reality show against Light Heavyweight champion, Jon Jones.

Sonnen, who is said to be one of the most legendary talkers and fighters in MMA history, is known for his wrestling and constant pressure against his opponents.
